How to Freeze Avocados

Freezing avocado slices for this avocado smoothie is as easy as 1-2-3. We’ll walk ya through it:

Place parchment paper onto a large plate or small baking sheet, and set aside. You’ll need this for your avocado slices!

Half your avocados and remove the pits and the skin, and then slice avocados into thin slices and place directly onto the parchment paper.

Freeze for 20-30 minutes or until frozen solid to the touch.

Once your avocado slices are completely frozen, remove from the freezer. Use it right away in this smoothie! Or, place the slices in a freezer-safe bag or container and return it to the freezer for later use.

We love using frozen avocados in smoothies because gives smoothies a super creamy texture while also packing tons of great nutrients. Plus, when you put frozen avocado in smoothies instead of room temperature avocado, it helps keep the smoothie nice and cold without using ice. Double win!
